Onrego Has a New HQ!

Onrego HQ made a movement on Weekend. We moved to a much bigger office with a much broader view to Microsoft and to sea. Let’s take a look!

I have great news to share! Onrego has moved! While our address (Keilaranta 4, Espoo, Finland) remains the same, we have almost quadrupled our space! When we started on August 2012, I wrote a post about our new office with a sea view and a location right next to Microsoft, Angry Birds and Nokia, just to name a few.

Here’s a couple of pictures of our new office:

Congratulations Jyväskylä – Onrego To Expand Its Area of Influence!

Congratulations Jyväskylä! Congratulations Keski-Suomen lääni! Congratulations Harjun torni! Onrego is expanding to Jyväskylä with a brand new branch office. With a lake-view this time.

A month ago we opened our first office in Espoo, Keilaniemi, right next to Angry Birds, Microsoft and Nokia. Today we open our next branch office to Jyväskylä City. Jyväskylä is a virile student city located right in the middle of Finland. There are a little bit over 130 000 residents living within the city limits. Jyväskylä is famous of its rally “Rally of the Thousand Lakes“, which is nowadays called “Neste Oil Rally Finland“, and today, of course of its Onrego Branch Office!

While our headquarter is located by the sea in Keilaniemi, Espoo, our Jyväskylä branch is located by lake Jyväsjärvi with a walking distance to city center.

But one question remains. Are there any employees working in the branch? Hmm… let’s dig into that in the next post.

The Office And a Sea View

Can the office of just established startup company be located in Keilaniemi, Espoo, Finland, right next to Microsoft, Nokia and Angry Birds, just to name a few? Can the office have a sea view? Yes! The location of our office is a statement. It is a statement to us, to our clients and to our partners.

At first we were not planning on renting an office. The reason was to save some cash. But more we thought about it, renting an own office started to make lots of sense. In the startup phase spending time together is very valuable since we are able to innovate and make decisions fast.

Nokia Annual Meeting 2012

I went to annual meeting of Nokia and then left the place. Something happened between those two events. Nothing dramatical, but I’m a quick learner and immediately learned two things. It was worth visiting.

I don’t usually spend my time at annual meetings because I find them quite boring. This time I made an exception. It was Nokia’s annual meeting and the farewell of Jorma Ollila. I don’t have much Finnish business leaders I admirer, but Jorma Ollila is definitely one I admirer among with Lasse Kurkilahti, the former CEO and President of Kemira Oyj and Jouko Karvinen, the current CEO and President of Stora Enso Oyj.
